As a singer/songwriter, I take great pride in listening to all music and especially lyrics that give me goose bumps, the ones that really ‘hit home’. The ‘music business’ can be very difficult. One day on my home from a challenging day at work, a challenging day with my music, my personal phone started to play ‘If Today Was Your Last Day’ by Nickelback, in my truck. I broke down in encouraging tears. When the pandemic hit, I made a promise to myself that when I die and go to Heaven, I do not want to face God and tell him why I did not pursue my gift of music. I believe that everyone is born with a gift, and you should never ignore it. Even though it can take you down some challenging paths, having faith and believing in yourself will get you through. I wish I had written this song! As a country artist, I decided to record a country version in hopes to encourage others the way that this song encouraged me. Thank you, Nickelback, for this amazing song and I hope I make you proud singing a country version of it to share with the world.
